The interchangeable fin system also gives the option to swap out the regular soft edged fins that it comes with (which are great for learning with, as theyre a lot more forgiving), for a set of performance based hard fins. This adds another level of progression to the board, making it an incredibly versatile softboard option, that will help you go from a beginner surfing in the white water, to a way more advanced surfer, as you start to turn and carve your way down the line.
This flexibility of options makes the Epic range perfect for those who have mastered the basics and want to progress with their surfing, as well as those who normally surf a regular board that just want to have some softboard fun on smaller summer days. The Epic Softboard range is the next step up in foamies. Underneath the 4mm EVA skin is a 2 x 6oz fibreglass layers with a full rail lap. This makes the deck very resilient to impacts from knees and general damage.
The rail lap and stringers also make these stiffer and more of hardboard feel so they surf really well.
