Moki’s StoryZach Brown is the New England-based paramedic/firefighter who invented the Moki Door Step. Zach and his wife are the adventurous sort who like taking part in many outdoor activities. One problem; Zachs wife could not hit the slopes on her own while Zach was pulling a 12-hour shift at the fire station. Because of her height, it was a struggle for her to reach her vehicles rooftop rack. Zach came to find out that she was definitely not alone.
Fast forward through a few years of testing prototypes and Zach developed the Moki Door Step as a solution to this all too common problem. Zach named his product after “Moki Steps”; the footholds carved into rock surfaces by the Pueblo peoples of the American Southwest to help them reach their cliff dwellings.
Following a successful Kickstarter campaign in which over 2,000 backers pledged over $100,000, Zach realized that he really had something. The excitement coming from his backers showed that he had created a much-needed solution.
Even though Zach had invented a great product, his main desire was to serve the public as a paramedic/firefighter and to raise a family. Zach decided to partner with Rightline Gear to bring the Door Step to national retail. Rightline Gear built upon Zachs initial design to create the Rightline Gear Moki Door Step.
